We're off for another season! Forty-five contestants submitted entries for the first week's competition ... and the first night saw some interesting results. All but four players picked and got points for both Thursday night winners, Marshall & UAB. (One of the four lost his lock on UAB.) The top six got 50 points for nailing one game's margin on the nose. Leader WKUFan (74) was dead on for Marshall's 7-point win, and five are just 1 point behind (74) after correctly picking UAB to win by one. An unusual twist was that three of those T2 folks (greenmac, minermojo1948 and MU ATO) left the margins for ALL of their game picks at the default of 1 point. Good luck to all!!

More interesting results on Friday: Most contestants correctly picked all three winners ... and all three of the T2 "all-1-pointers" are STILL in second place. crafdog, however, moved up from T2 into a 152-138 lead because he got 28 points from both Miami and Southern Illinois' wins, rather than the 17 and 19 points awarded the all-1-pointers. Thursday's leader (WKUFan518) dropped down to T17 when he missed the Salukis' win, and former T2 Bar1906 fell all the way to 41st because his Miami-lock lost and he had UTSA winning. In the bonus round, the leaders are Miami (66), FAU (66) and Robert Morris (64), which means crafdog's VCU pick as well as T2 greenmac's Southern Illinois choice are out of the Bonus Point running. (minermojo1948's "Select Team-Select Bet" non-pick also has no chance, of course.)
