This week finds nearly unanimous agreement on the picks, but a wide spread of opinion on the Bonus Question (Most 2nd Half Points). The Top 50 all picked AppState, Marshall, LaTech, WKU and North Texas to win; and they went 49-1 in favor of Hawaii, UNLV, MidTenn, USM, UAB, Baylor and Clemson. The most competitive matchups are FAU over Air Force (37-13) and Stanford over USC (39-11). \\ -- ~~ -- // The bonus question is totally different, with 12 teams chosen. The Top 50's favorites are North Texas (17) and Hawaii (11). But also getting votes: 4-LaTech & UAB; 3-Clemson & FAU; 2- AppState & Marshall; and one vote each for UNLV, FIU, Costal Carolina & WKU. For most of us, the Bonus Question turned into a bust. Only one -- cokermania -- picked the winner (Middle Tennessee). He thought they'd "place", so he got 75 points, which helped him get 333 points and jump from 57th place all the way up the leaderboard to T18. Only one picked the "show" winner (Coastal Carolina); but he thought they'd be first, so no points were awarded. No one picked "place" Texas A&M, but several chose LaTech. Unfortunately, four of them got no points beause they chose "win" and "place" bets. Sabresbills04 chose LaTech to show, and his 307 points cause him to leap from 35th to T14 in the standings. \\ -- ~~ -- // Despite getting no bonus points, the week's top score was earned by Blazer74 (344), who missed only two picks and got 79 points for a 1-point miss on his North Texas lock. He moved from 5th up to the top spot. This week's second-highest total was by Herd football (337), who nailed the North Texas lock on the nose (100 points), but missed three winners. He moved up from 28th to 7th place.
