Charlotte averaged 47 points in its first three games, but nearly half of us (31 of the 63 who entered picks this wee) chose Charlotte to get bonus points this week for the fewest points scored. Playing Clemson instead of Gardner-Webb, Appalachian State or UMass may have something to do with our assessment. Five picked the 49ers to win, 7 to place and 12 to show. Other bonus picks were Wagner (0-4-7), USM (1-2-5), Rice (1-4-2), ODU (1-1-1), South Alabama (1-1-0) and UTEP (0-1-0). - - - + + + | | + + - - - As for our game-winner picks, again, nearly all of us agreed on all of the contests ... the major exception being Auburn & Texas A&M. We favored with Aggies, 39-24. A few folks on the first page of the leaderboard also locked the high-point picks of Clemson over Charlotte, which could cause some movement in the standings if they win (or lose). - - - + + + | | + + - - - Good luck to all!!

At halftime of the two early-Saturday games, Michigan is being shut out (28-0), but USM scored on Alabama with 1:02 left in the half, culminating a 6-play, 74-yard drive.

8:30 Central time, and the Bonus Question leader in the clubhouse is South Alabama with 3 points. Rice, Charlotte and UTSA all had 3 points at halftime, but Rice just kicked a field goal to get off that schneid.
